Jeremy Uhll, warmly known as Jinkx, is the talented artist behind Metal Art by Jinx in the peaceful village of Cairo, New York, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Catskill Mountains. His path to metal sculpture wasn’t a lifelong straight line — like many creative souls, he discovered this fulfilling craft later in life. What began as a rewarding creative outlet and form of personal therapy quickly blossomed into a true passion.
Today, he pours that joy into every piece, carefully transforming raw steel, scrap, and found materials into original works of art entirely by hand.Each sculpture is thoughtfully cut, bent, formed, welded, and finished in his Catskills shop. There are no shortcuts or production lines — just two hands, tools, and craftsmanship that gives discarded metal a beautiful second life. Jeremy’s work includes striking animal sculptures, custom signs, trophies, wall art, candle holders, functional pieces, and deeply personal commissions. He also enjoys being part of the local community, taking part in events like Catskill Mountain Thunder (including bike build-offs), sponsoring rides, and creating public pieces such as a metal bear for the Cairo Bears project.
